This last week was so much fun for me! My family was finally able to make it down here for a vacation. Mom, Nate, Chris, Josh and Heather drove down on Saturday, May 30th and stayed for 7 days. Dad and Jared flew down on June 2nd and stayed for 3 days. Jess and Tyler couldn't make it, but they were with us in spirit. (They finally got their plane tickets...they are going to Thailand!) We had so much fun. I would write pages and pages for all of you to scroll through, but luckily for you Adria and Julia have taken all of my time and energy. I started this post 3 hours ago! So I will just give a quick summary and then post lots of pics. I've heard that a picture is worth a thousand words. So back to the point. Mom and the kids got here in time to go to the beach for a little while on Saturday. Then we all went to church together on Sunday and enjoyed some quality together time. Monday was Disneyland day! It was kind of crazy with two kids under 2, but Mom was so willing to take one or the other or both! So we had a really good time. Ben took 1/2 a day off so he could join us. We stayed until 11:00pm and Julia actually did really well. On Tuesday Ben took the whole day off and took Jared, Nate and Josh to Six Flags up in Los Angeles. They had an awesome time. Chris, Heather, Mom and Dad went for a second day at Disneyland and so I joined them with the babies. Julia enjoyed the first day, but I think she loved the second day. I know I had a great time. Her very favorite ride was the ferris wheel...but it is important to note that this was not your normal ferris wheel. The cars are on a track so when the wheel goes around your car slides and swings and it feels like you're going to go shooting off the wheel. Julia thought it was awesome! She laughed and giggled the whole time. Ben and I will have to go do it again and get it on video because it is so crazy. She also LOVED the teacups. The faster we went, the more she laughed. The rest of the week was designated as beach time. Julia had so much fun with her uncles and of course with her Aunt Heather. Heather is 8 so she is more like an older sister for Julia. The boys convinced me to go out into the ocean with them on the last day and I just have to mention that I got stung by a jellyfish. Yes, give me sympathy. Actually, it wasn't too bad until I got home and decided to wash it. For those of you that don't know, the LAST thing you want to do with a jellyfish sting is put fresh water on it. It hurts really bad, don't try it! I think as a whole though the week went really, really well. I want to thank my mom for taking the girls Friday night so that Ben and I could have a date, just the two of us! We went to IHOP (yummy!!) and then my sweet hubby took me to an empty parking lot with a beautiful view and we turned up the radio and danced together. So sweet! Having everyone here was so nice. I know I cried when the family left, and Julia still misses them. Hopefully it won't be too long until we see them again! By the way, thanks to Heather for the addition of "meow" to our family. She gave Julia her stuffed kitty and Julia now wants to bring it everywhere! She looks around and then puts her hands up and asks "meow go?" and I have to go find the cat before we can move on. It's really cute actually. Well, this wasn't short per se, but it really was just a summary. So enjoy the pictures!
