Saturday Fun
We try to find fun things to do on Saturdays with the girls. I never said it, but they know it. Just this morning Julia asked me what day it was and when I told her it was Saturday she replied, "Oh good! It's a fun day!"
Three weeks ago on the 12th Ben took the girls up to the "mountains" to see some "trees" which was a total bust on the mountains and trees (because it's Arizona and all we have is desert), but they still had fun hiking around, climbing on rocks, and just being with Daddy.
Then last weekend we went out to the Renaissance Festival in Apache Junction. Long drive, hot day, very dusty. Again though, the girls had a great time. I showed them pictures online the day before and they both wanted to dress up like the people in the pictures. It's a Renaissance Festival so they were hardly out of place.
They got to ride a few little rides and eat overpriced, sugar-filled treats and see fairies and princesses everywhere they turned. All in all, they had a great time and got filthy dirty. Ben and I liked it well enough. He like the jousting tournament. To be honest, I loved looking in all the little shops. I'm quite the geek at heart and all the fun dragons, fairies and cool clothes made for fun eye candy. Ben even tried on a few things. He wanted a suit of armour, but at $5,000 it was a bit out of our price range. Here's the end-of-the-day picture. I wish you could see their feet because we were soooo dirty.
Then this weekend Grandma and Grandpa Lund came down so we had fun hanging out with them and with Matt and Ali's family. Grandma and Grandpa spoiled the girls by taking them all to the store and letting them pick any present they wanted. I told Grandpa he was a brave man to take 9 women into a store, but he did it anyway. The controlled chaos was pretty fun to watch. The girls loved it.

Little Chatter Box
Kara loves to talk. She was quite pleased with herself every time she made a new sound this morning. I think it's the cutest thing ever.

Adria's dance
Adria has begged and begged to take a dance class. I found one through the city of Gilbert that was affordable and the same morning as Julia's so that I wouldn't have to go out an extra morning. She was so excited. She loved going and having "Miss Jennifer" teach her all the things Julia had learned. This week she had her last class and we got to come in and watch her.
I didn't get any still shots, but here is a little of the video. She was quite shy about dancing in front of people and when she was called out, she got mad. Very typical. We love that kid!

Moving day
I don't usually do multiple posts on one day, but I'm playing catch up. Between having a new baby and moving to house #9, I haven't had much time. Yes, I said house #9. This is the ninth house that Ben and I have lived in since we were married. I love it! We hope to stay here for a really long time. We have enough room and some to spare and we are really close to Ben's work. It was hard to find a house in a good neighborhood, with grass, no cactus, no pool and a nice kitchen (every mom knows you have to have a good kitchen!!) but we did it. I'm so relieved. If we never move again it will be fine with me. Hopefully now our lives will settle down. I know the girls sure hope so! And I have to give a huge "thank you" to my family. My Mom, Heather, and Josh came down and worked so hard for 4 days to get us all moved. They were awesome. We literally couldn't have done it without them. Thanks guys!!
Zoo trip #2
We went to the zoo again on Saturday. We didn't stay too long, but the girls still loved it.
Adria loves the scarlet macaw. She ran around being a scarlet macaw until her arms couldn't flap anymore.
