Julia loves the book "A Dollar for Penny" and reads it all the time, often taking it to bed. It's about a girl who has a lemonade stand and earns a dollar. The coins always go "clank into the bank." Julia has collected all the loose change from around the house. Yesterday at the store she found a doll that she fell in love with. She talked about it all day and then again this morning. I counted her coins and she had $17.78. Pretty impressive, huh? But Ben and I wanted her to learn that money isn't free so we had her do 5 chores this morning and we gave her 5 dollar bills to take and buy her dolly. She hasn't let it go since she picked it out. Of course it's the pink one.
