Here in Arizona it has been kind of hot. As in, we rarely leave the house kind of hot. Monday wasn't any different. As much as we wanted to enjoy some fun 4th of July activities, it was just too hot to take our kids outside. There weren't any fireworks going on near our house either which was totally lame. Rather than have an hour and a half round trip just to see some fireworks, we sold the girls on the idea of having a party at home. We all dressed up.
How cute is my family?! The girls got to pick the menu and the activities. We had pizza, watermelon, soda and chocolate ice cream. They really wanted to dye eggs, but since Wal-mart doesn't sell egg dye for the 4th, we settled for coloring hard boiled eggs with crayons.

The girls had a great time and no one got heat stroke so I think it was a great day!
