Pease Family Memorial Fund
As you may have heard, on Wednesday, August 17, the Pease family was involved in a serious car accident in Toole County, Utah. Tricia was critically injured and is still recovering in the hospital, and beautiful, little Adria was sent back to live with her Heavenly Father. Their family has limited medical insurance. If you would like to make a donation you can 1) click the donate button below, 2) visit any Wells Fargo bank and ask to contribute to the Pease Family Memorial Fund, or 3) donate online at http://funds.gofundme.com/Pease-Family-Fund. The family thanks you for all your thoughts and prayers.

First Day of School
I don't know how I got to be old enough to send my daughter to Kindergarten. I mean, really, when did that happen? But somehow it did. Julia was so excited for her first day.
She picked her favorite pink sparkle shirt and a skirt. (She hates pants, she has always prefered a dress or skirt.) Her teacher is Mrs. Chapman. Ben went to work late so that he could come with us to drop her off and then because we live so close to his work he was able to take a late lunch and be there to pick her up as well. I hope someday my kids realize how lucky they are to have such a devoted and loving dad. Everyone keeps asking me if I cried when we dropped her off. No, I didn't. I really am so excited for her to be starting this next adventure that I just kept focus there. And, then I tried really, really hard not to think about leaving my baby girl. *sniff* Now I need to change the topic.
Julia's 2 biggest fears were that there would be mean kids or that when she tried to make friends the kids wouldn't be friendly. She said that neither of those things happened. Phew. I asked if she made new friends and she said, "Yes, but I only know their names at school where I can ask them." That makes sense to me. My favorite was when Ben asked her if she liked Kindergarten and she replied, "Well....I thought Kindergarten would be lots of fun. But Kindergarten was BORING! Well, a little fun. But we just sat at our desks and then ate in the cafe and then sat at our desks and then had a snack." I was a bit surprised that she didn't mention recess until this morning when I found out that she volunteered to skip recess because one of the boys in her class has muscular dystrophy and couldn't go out to play. She stayed inside and played games with him. Ok, now that made me cry. I love my little girl to pieces. I hope that through all the peer pressure she can remember who she is and that she is great.

What makes a childhood great?
Our family isn't perfect. We have our share of days where we feel pretty far from it. But we try to have good times and enjoy life. I think it's the little moments that make up a wonderful childhood. I just wanted to blog about a few of them.
For instance, last night Ben took the girls to see Cars 2 and then have dinner at Chick-fil-a. Its nothing extravagant but they had a great time. He even bought popcorn. That tells me that his girls have him wrapped around their little pinkies because I love movie theater popcorn but we don't get it because it's so darn expensive. Obviously I just lack a cuteness factor. Anyway, they lucked out because Tuesday is Family Night at Chick-fil-a (I love that place!) and they had a lady there painting faces. I think these next pictures speak volumes about my girls.
Most of our days here are filled with tutus
Julia's self-portrait...then she asked me to take one.
We also do a lot of painting.
Julia painted all of these in about an hour. They are pictures of her sisters. I love this. I also love that she is wearing the blue tutu, but it's a different day than the pictures above. She really wears that a lot.
And we can't forget Adria's favorite activity, holding Kara.
Literally not a day goes by that Adria doesn't spend some serious cuddle time with her baby.
Today I decided to combine the first two activities and make a cute project that I saw online: Handprint tutus. It was fun and super cute. I used one shade of paint for their right hand and one shade for the left.
Once the paint dries I'll add some ribbon and a border.
Then since their hands were already covered in paint, the girls finger painted for a bit.

6 months old!
I cannot believe how quickly Kara has grown. I'm also surprised by how long she is! Our little princess is at a really fun age. She loves to roll. She can sit, but for some reason she only does it when Ben is with her. Seriously, I can't explain it but she will sit for long periods of time when Ben is watching and then when I try to have her sit, she refuses. She also loves to eat. She will eat anything you put in her mouth. Once she gets full though, she spits with gusto. It's really cute. A few other things:
She hates her carseat.
She loves music
She likes her naps a lot
She still sings herself to sleep
She can scream more shrilly than either of her sisters.
