Utah Halloween

I know that this is a week late, but I wanted to write about our fun Halloween in Utah. I only put a few of my pictures on here, if you want to see some more, you can look at my facebook album which is http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2009762&l=00057&id=1064507299
There are some really cute pics of Adria! I took the girls up to visit our family in Utah and decided to stay for Halloween so that Julia could go trick-or-treating with Heather since Julia basically worships the ground Heather walks on. Everyone kept telling me how crazy I was to drive, alone, with two babies all the way to Utah without stopping. I was getting pretty nervous, but I really wanted to see my family and be there when my brother, Jared, went through the temple in preparation for his mission. The girls actually did really well. Julia just watched DVDs and read books and Adria slept a lot. The only real problem was that the heater and A/C in my car don't work. Its not too bad when you live in a beach city, but driving through a hot desert or in a state where its almost winter, you start to notice. Julia had so much fun up there. We stayed with my sister, Jessica, in her new house since her husband has left her to join the monks in Thailand. I'm serious, he's living with the monks in Thailand. (Ok, so it's for his job, but its fun to say). I'm going to make this a shorter story than I wanted because both girls woke up from their naps already. We had a Halloween party for FHE the week of Halloween over at my Grandparent's house in Alpine. Julia had a lot of fun. She got to play donuts on a string and bob for apples (both of which she just used her hands for) and then we decorated sugar cookies. On Halloween she went trick-or-treating with Heather, Grandma, and my cousin Carlie who is Heather's age. The first house they went to, Julia just walked right in to find the candy. We also made rootbeer, pizza and donuts. Yummy!!!!!!! My mom is awesome. Julia's favorite part was definately making root beer. She loved stirring it and watching the dry ice make fog. This is her at the end of the night. She still has her boots on under her jammies and she is wearing Grandpa's Halloween hat. What a goof! Her other favorite things that we did in Utah were playing in the leaves and going to Hogle Zoo with Jess, Heather and Grandma. She got to ride a train at the zoo, and we all know how much Julia loves trains!
